Hotel Hopping in Vegas

With so much to do in Las Vegas, it’s easy to forget that a lot of Vegas hotels (especially those located on the infamous strip) have attractions of their own. Better yet, some of these are FREE!

I didn’t have enough time on my short visit to Las Vegas to see even half of these but when I go back, I will definitely be making time for the ones I missed.

Contiki: Thoughts

After having completed two Contiki tours, I’ve decided to write up a post with my thoughts on Contiki in general and on the two specific tours that I’ve done in North America. There are a few different tour companies aimed at young travellers that offer tours in North America but Contiki was the one I knew most about.

Boston to New York – Contiki Day 13

This morning we were all pretty sad because today was the last day of our Contiki. We all loaded up our bags on the coach and by 8am we were on the road back to New York City. The drive to New York from Boston is about 4 hours but we were going to break it up with a few stops along the way.

Washington DC

Today was our free day in Washington DC, so we decided to have a little bit of a sleep-in this morning before heading downstairs. We met up with a few others and decided to join them for brunch. We headed to the metro which is the underground train and ended up at some place near Dupont Circle with a breakfast buffet – it was so good! After brunch, we headed over to the White House.

NYC Day 2

We had an early wake up call this morning as we had our 9/11 memorial museum tickets booked for 9am. If you plan on visiting the museum, I highly recommend the 9am slot – it’s the first slot and it’s great because for the first half hour there is almost no-one in the museum and you can really see everything without people getting in the way.
