After almost 30 hours of traveling, we’ve finally made it to the big apple! The second leg of our trip felt very very long and I didn’t get much sleep.. It’s so uncomfortable trying to sleep on a plane!
I’m planning to blog a review of Hawaiian Airlines when I’m back home for anyone that’s interested.
We got to our hotel this morning at about 9am. We took a car from the airport via Dial 7 and they were very good and hassle-free – I’d definitely recommend them. It was too early to check in so we dropped our bags and headed out to visit Times Square.
We headed to Big Bus to redeem our tickets and jump on a tour. We had to wait in a long line but it moves pretty quickly. We did half of the downtown loop which was really informative and great for pictures – definitely sit up the top though! We got off at Brooklyn Bridge to head over to the Pier for the included 1hour cruise. This was great – we got great views of Manhattan, New Jersey city, Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge.
We we absolutely knackered by this point so caught a cab back to our hotel so we could finally check in. We had a power nap for an hour before heading back to Times Square for an early dinner at Applebee’s and a look at the shops. We’ve got an early start tomorrow so it will be a super early night tonight!
